nervous system (Taverner, 2014). The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP)
further defined neuropathic pain as a pain stemming from a wound or malady, which affects the

neuropathic pain in adults. Drug companies, medical equipment companies, multiple medical
disciplines, universities, hospitals and researchers comprise the group of stakeholders. The
interests, recommendations, and comments from the stakeholders were given to the guideline

Primary and secondary sources of published literature were conducted. Afterwards,
